Common Merchant Center errors

The error messages merchants actually search for, one page each: what Google requires, what happens when the requirement is not met, how to fix it by hand, and which of our checks find it. Every page follows the same order, and every claimed check is read from the scanner's own registry.

More specific errors

More Merchant Center errors, one term each

One page per error message Merchant Center shows, beyond the headline rejections above: the page heading is the issue title Google uses, and each page ends with the checks from our own registry that find it. A couple gather a family of closely related issues under one heading. Attributes Google does not surface as a named product issue are not listed here.

What is not here

Errors no file can prove

Some frequent rejections cannot be found by reading a feed, and pretending otherwise would be selling you a scan that cannot deliver. Mismatched value (page crawl) compares your feed against your live pages, which takes a crawl of your shop. Policy verdicts are Google's judgement, not a property of the data. US tax settings live in the account. The boundary is documented in full at what we don't check.

The quicker way

Or check all of it at once

Every error on this page is something the scan finds in one pass, across the whole catalogue. The scan to identify errors is free and shows every finding before you pay anything. You only pay for the fix.
